Stimulate local markets
In reducing our customers’ utility bills, we thereby increase their disposable income by $70 to $100 per month, which in turn will stimulate local retail markets.
Rather than all the money going to the utility companies (in which case, it more or less exits the market), increased disposable income for our customers means increased spending in local retail. That means the same dollar otherwise destined straight for Saudi Arabia will recirculate three to four times in local Louisiana markets.
Green Grants = green jobs
Green Grants means green jobs. Opportunities, that is, for potentially hundreds of locals to gain valuable training and experience in an industry enjoying exponential growth.
Our operations require the efforts of:
- Solar energy system installers
- Energy auditors
- Technicians cross-trained in energy-efficiency and weatherization
- Grant researchers and proposal writers
- Sales and customer service representatives
Green Grants aims high. Our goal is to install 10,000 solar energy systems in the Greater New Orleans Region. This means the creation of new salaries amounting to millions, which in turn shall resonate throughout local Louisiana communities.
